A geologist and an archaeologist visited the church today to complete a comprehensive 3D scan of the church and churchyard. It was fascinating to find out more about their work.

Rebecca, the archaeologist, explained what her colleague was doing in a way that was straightforward and understandable to a lay person. The information gathered will be used to create a detailed report with pictures and there will be talks to share the findings with others. As a result of this work, we should find out if long-held beliefs about the age of certain parts of the church are upheld or whether some new history will be written.
