​St Nicholas hosted another build tour today. An entertaining and informative event led to people gaining an understanding of the complexities surrounding the process of restoration.

This includes identifying and sourcing stones that resemble those already there as closely as possible. The work is carried out mostly by hand to cut and shape the stones. Inside the church, visitors saw the relocated font, the new kitchen and toilet and the work being done on the ceiling.

Many thanks to our conservation builder and architect for taking the time to show and explain. Our work continues.The skill and care taken is evident and we really appreciate the fact that our church is being restored thanks to the National Lottery players.
