Our skilled craftsmen are slowly replacing parts of the unstable ceiling and strengthening other areas. Lathes have been secured, ready for the first coat of lime plaster. Three coats are needed with drying time between each one.

The walls are having the old plaster stripped off to be replaced with new plaster after the stonework has been repaired. Drying times for the coats of plaster are variable and make the whole process more complicated. Any decorating will have specialist paint which helps with the damp issues.
